Dr. Leyla Mirbaha, O.D.

Dr. Leyla Mirbaha’s journey in eye care began at UCLA, where she earned a BA in Psychology and Accounting in 1998. Her path to optometry was inspired by her time as an optometric technician and office manager for a private practice in Northern California. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from UC Berkeley in 2007.

Dr. Mirbaha distinguished herself during her residency at the Reno VA Hospital, where she specialized in managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes. She is board-certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and holds a Nevada Optometry License with TPA and Glaucoma certification. Having been with Advanced Sierra EyeCare at various points since 2013, she is dedicated to educating patients on maintaining their vision. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping in the Sierra Nevada region with her family and two children.
