I came to Advanced Sierra Eyecare and Dr. Ben Seljestad at Advanced after experiencing a sudden onset of vertical double vision, on the recommendation of a trusted friend. I’ve seen many optometrists over the years, but none compare to his energy, patience, expertise, and thoroughness. Dr. Seljestad took extra time to perform a very comprehensive exam and explained everything clearly and in detail. At no point did I feel rushed—his full attention was on me and my concerns. That level of focus and care is rare and deeply appreciated. It’s also clear that he genuinely loves what he does. In observing his interactions with other patients and staff, his professionalism and compassion consistently stand out. His reception and assistant team is exceptional as well. Communication was excellent throughout, including prompt and thoughtful follow-up, as well as a referral to a neuro-ophthalmologist to ensure I received the specialized care I needed. I spend a lot of time outside the country, but when I return, my annual eye appointment here is the one I look forward to the most. I've never experienced any level of eye care services in the world that comes close to the high tech, caring and healing atmosphere provided by the entire staff.
